Growing up I lived all over since we moved frequently. I primarily grew up in Florida and moved out to California for college and to be closer to my dad. My dad was born and raised in Hong Kong and came to the US in the 1980’s to pursue his American dream. He had me and my sister and now it is my turn to continue his American dream and create my own. When I was young everything artistic was my forte, whether it was painting, sculpting, drawing, sewing, cooking, baking, you name it. If there was room to be creative, I took up all the room. What really stuck was baking. I would stay up late watching Ace of Cakes and Cake Boss being so fascinated that anybody was able to do this as a career. In my head I have been in this career ever since I was 8 starting with my easy bake oven!
